Emergency Management embodies management and leadership in its role of guiding the community through difficult times.

Emergency Management participates in all phases of emergency response.  As a major player in using The National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS), Emergency Management must constantly practice with medium and large incidents to become highly proficient at coordinating this type of event.  Building an effective incident command structure takes training (classroom and hands on practice) and it takes experience to become proficient.

The OurTown Diorama Incident Command Simulator gives responders both the training and the experience to be successful when serious disasters befall our communities.

Please contact the Incident Management Team to schedule an OurTown Incident Command event in your community.  OurTown classes can include a single agency or multiple agencies which will bring together all the response partners.
